Job summary

Southway Crane & Rigging, LLC in Conyers, Georgia is seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver for full-time employment. The role requires loading/unloading cargo, long-distance deliveries, and adherence to safety procedures.

You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and communicate any incidents to dispatchers. Candidates must have a Class A CDL and at least 3 years of commercial driving experience, pass a background check and drug test, and be able to complete on-site skills

Qualifications

• Must have a current state issued Class A CDL Driver's License.
• 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Ability to perform on-site skills verification.
• Proficiency in English for reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Take orders for new deliveries and drive long distances.
• Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect trailer before and after trip and record defects.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep log of activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to appropriate personnel.
• Keep truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order

Position: CDL Truck Driver

Location: Conyers, Georgia

Reports to: Branch Manager

Southway is looking to add experienced full-time truck drivers to our growing Branch. The following are a list of requirements; You must meet all the requirements below to be considered for this position.

Summary:

Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience. You must be able to pass a background check and drug test. All candidates will perform a skills verification test on site before hire.

• Eyesight sufficient for operating a motor vehicle, inspection of equipment, and completion paperwork.
• Hearing sufficient for telephone contact and interpersonal communication with Customers and coworkers.
