Job summary

R & D Excavating LLC in American Fork, UT is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This role offers hands-on, on-site work delivering materials and equipment to diverse job sites.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, load and unload materials, and coordinate with site supervisors to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining logs in accordance with DOT rules.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL and clean driving record.
• Experience operating dump/semi-trucks preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service.
• Ability to maneuver trucks in tight spaces.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work outdoors.
• Good communication with site supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial dump truck, and straight truck and trailer to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure truck is in safe operating condition
• Load and unload materials including dirt, gravel, and construction supplies as needed
• Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while on the road and on job sites
• Assist with general job site duties when not driving as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to safely maneuver trucks in tight or challenging job site conditions
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed
