Beck Construction & Excavation, Inc is seeking a dependable Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our field team in Utah. This local driving role keeps you home every night with overtime opportunities as project schedules demand and year-round work.

You will haul dirt, aggregate, pipe, equipment, and materials between our yard, vendors, and sites across the Wasatch Front. Safety-focused role requiring truck maintenance, tarp loads, and coordination with project teams.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate required.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks.
• Experience hauling dump trucks and construction materials preferred.
• Safe driving history and compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A trucks with manual transmissions, up to 18 speeds.
• Primary hauling of dirt, aggregate, pipe, equipment, and materials.
• Operate various equipment as needed (side dumps, lowboys, etc.).
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Conduct basic preventive maintenance and maintenance checks.
• Secure and tarp loads per requirements.
• Coordinate deliveries with foremen, superintendents and crews.
• Keep equipment clean, organized, and well maintained.
• Assist field crews with loading/unloading after driving.

Job description

Beck Construction & Excavation is looking for a dependable Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our field team.

This is a local driving position, so you'll be home every night. We work hard to keep our crews busy year-round and offer overtime opportunities as project schedules demand.

Our drivers haul dirt, aggregate, pipe, equipment, concrete materials, and construction supplies between our yard, vendors, and project sites throughout the Wasatch Front, with occasional travel throughout Utah. You'll primarily operate dump trucks while also hauling equipment and materials as needed.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in operating equipment safely, maintains their truck like it's their own, and enjoys being part of a crew rather than spending every day behind the wheel.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles with manual transmissions, including up to 18-speed transmissions.
• Primarily operate dump trucks while hauling construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate side dumps, transport trucks, lowboys, or similar equipment as needed.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance, including greasing, checking fluids, and replacing lights.
• Secure and tarp loads as required.
• Communicate with foremen, superintendents, and project teams to coordinate deliveries.
• Keep trucks clean, organized, and well maintained.
• Assist field crews with loading, unloading, and general construction tasks when driving is complete.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
• Experience operating manual transmission commercial trucks.
• Experience operating dump trucks required.
• Experience hauling construction materials or heavy equipment preferred.
• Safe driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass DOT-required pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings.
