BASIC PURPOSE

Truck Care Cashiers help run our business by providing excellent customer service while operating the cash registers, inputting and verifying service orders, stocking merchandise, and light housekeeping duties.

Truck Care Cashiers perform various daily customer service tasks by operating the cash register and assisting customers. Inputting work order information into POS system and verifying accuracy of services performed. This may also include basic housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, and other assigned duties.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers, speak politely, and assist them effectively.
• Be the first point of contact in the lobby and connect customers with service specialists to identify their needs.
• Accurately input work order information into POS and verify the services performed.
• Operate a cash register and maintain an organized cash drawer.
• Collect and close out pending invoices.
• Communicate with fleet maintenance departments for work authorizations and purchase orders.
• Answer phones promptly and address customer needs using proper etiquette.
• Interface with electronic platforms for clear communication.
• Stock and face merchandise in the customer area.
• Perform maintenance of customer areas and restrooms, including cleaning and tidying tasks.
• Participate in weekly and monthly projects.
• Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards.
• Ensure a safe facility by following safety practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months retail and cash handling experience preferred.
• Trucking industry experience is a plus.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Hard Skills: Ability to operate a cash register, perform basic housekeeping, and navigate safely in the service bay.
• Soft Skills: Good communication, time management, organization, a positive attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic.

• Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, occasional lifting up to 100 lbs, and specific vision abilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to outdoor elements, fumes, moving parts, noise, dirt, dust, grease, oil, gas, cleaning solutions, and human waste. Occasional exposure to loud environments.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: No travel expected for this position.
