Control your own destiny! State Truck Collision is seeking an experienced Truck Body Repair Technician specializing in fleet repairs to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking long-term growth and opportunity.

We are also looking for an Auto Fabricator with previous auto body work and repair experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and possesses a diverse skill set.

Experience working with commercial vehicles such as tractor trailers, box trucks, buses, vans, or forklifts is a huge plus. Please note, this is NOT a car shop.

Must be a team player!

Hours are 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, with potential for additional hours.

Pay is based on experience, and hard work is recognized.

Job Summary

The position requires a technician with strong knowledge in auto-body and mechanical fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair aluminum and fiberglass trailer and straight truck roofing
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools
• Bolt or weld replacement parts using wrenches or welding equipment
• Paint surfaces after repairs and order replacement parts, panels, and supplies
• Follow safety procedures and DOT regulations; maintain a clean work area
• Use tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld, and install new parts
• Perform collision repairs on fleet vehicles and trailer bodies as assigned
• Repair vehicle bodies, replace components, straighten dents, and restore structural integrity

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 70 lbs
• Strong measuring and math skills
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of body work experience
• Ability to use PC for documentation and time management
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work on ladders, crawl, kneel, and stretch
• Must pass pre-employment and random DOT drug screenings
