Responsibilities

• Cutting and welding using various processes
• Machining fabrication materials and components
• Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures
• Repairing cargo boxes, trailers, frames, wheelbases
• Maintaining neat records of work performed
• Designing, layout, estimation, metal forming, bending, finishing
• Tracking time for repairs, shop work, payroll
• Adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Using specialized welding or soldering equipment
• Reviewing blueprints and specifications for accuracy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent color vision and hand dexterity
• Physical ability to lift 75+ pounds
• At least two years fabrication experience preferred; pass DOT pre-employment and random drug tests
