Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join our team in Reno, NV. This full-time role involves installing, servicing, and troubleshooting advanced heavy commercial systems, under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

You will be mentored through our Service Technical Academy and may participate in opportunities to upsell solutions and provide quotes to improve facility performance. Union-affiliated benefits are provided under the applicable labor agreement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment is expected.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• A valid driver’s license with clean record is required.

Responsibilities

• Install and service HVAC equipment; perform mechanical installations as directed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues; respond to warranty calls.
• Keep customers informed of job progress and issues.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency and comfort.
• Be willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters as required.
