Position Description & Qualifications

TRIRIGA Application/Database Developer

100% Remote Position

Serco supports the USAF as a prime for their NexGen IT contract. Serco supports the Air Force (AF) Civil Engineering (CE) community NexGen IT initiative’s implementation of IBM TRIRIGA is the largest in the world. Serco manages all aspects of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) for the NexGen IT program including requirements definition, development, testing, upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting and supports all infrastructure for the installations.

You will be part of a large team of TRIRIGA Developers that work closely with the customers, end users, and other Serco teams to deliver quality software. The team has been recognized by the USAF and industry for their outstanding contributions to the program.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant on product implementation, enhancement, and database administration projects
  • Demonstrate expertise in providing a range of software solutions that meet the customer's business goals, objectives, needs and the general business environment to solve technical problems
  • Interact with numerous teammates and customer representatives on a daily basis through online collaboration tools
  • Deliver solutions in a highly organized, agile project structure using established processes, steps and delivery tools
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks
  • May lead and direct the work of others
  • Exhibit a wide degree of creativity and latitude
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • 10 years of experience in configuring and developing TRIRIGA, including a strong knowledge of its data structure and table structure.
  • 5 years of experience in data maintenance or data archiving in an Oracle database application.
  • NACI eligible.
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely and strong self-motivation skills.
  • Experience evaluating customer requirements and performing detailed data mapping.
  • Ability to work with multiple internal and external organizations to resolve technical and other customer-related problems, multitask, meet deadlines and set priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodology preferred.
  • The ability to travel up to 10%.
Additional Desired Experience and Skills
  • Knowledge of Air Force CE Community.
  • Recent software development experience, with development of UX applications using Java within a TRIRIGA use case is greatly preferred.
  • Experience working with federal government programs, particularly DoD
  • IBM Certified Application Developer a plus
  • Security Plus certification is a plus
