Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
• Strong social-emotional intelligence and ability to build rapport with students.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic academic, transfer, and career advising to TRIO participants.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students using culturally responsive advising practices.
• Use effective problem-solving strategies to assist students in navigating academic and personal challenges.
• Deliver one-on-one coaching in study skills, test preparation, time management, and college knowledge.
• Plan and facilitate workshops on financial literacy, transfer planning, career exploration, writing skills, and technical literacy.
• Assist students in exploring careers and academic majors using approved career assessment tools.
• Connect students with campus and community resources to support academic success and well-being.
• Monitor, track, and report student progress toward retention, graduation, and transfer outcomes; implement targeted interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with federal TRIO regulations.
• Assist with planning and coordinating college transfer visits and engagement events.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to strengthen student support networks.
• Participate in TRIO program planning, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement activities.
• Attend at least one ED-approved TRIO Priority Training annually.
• Is committed to providing quality service meeting stakeholders' expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.
