Job summary

Eastern Iowa Community College District seeks a Director of TRIO Student Support Services and Academic Support Center to lead federally funded programs and ensure high-quality, equitable academic support for first-generation, low-income, and disabled students. The role oversees compliance, program assessment, and staff supervision, reporting on-site at Scott Community College, Belmont location.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in student support services or TRIO programs.
• Demonstrated experience with federal grant management, compliance, and reporting.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the TRIO SSS program in accordance with federal regulations and grant objectives.
• Ensure compliance with federal TRIO SSS requirements including eligibility, documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Oversee grant administration including budgets, carry-forward funds, and fiscal monitoring.
• Prepare and submit annual performance reports and continuation applications.
• Serve as liaison with the U.S. Department of Education and TRIO organizations.
• Provide strategic oversight of the Academic Support Center and tutoring initiatives.
• Supervise and evaluate staff and student employees.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and service delivery to ensure accessible, high-quality academic support.
• Collect and analyze data related to retention, graduation, and performance.
• Collaborate with Advising, Financial Aid, Disability Services, Admissions, Career Services, and Academic Affairs.
• Participate in committees and strategic planning related to retention and accreditation.
• Document incidents and ensure follow-up actions according to policies.
