Job summary

Iowa Central Community College is seeking a 10-month, full-time position to support the SSS Project Director. Primary duties include assisting students with academic advising, transfer, financial aid information, and educational planning; oversee peer tutors and work-study staff; and ensure tutoring processes align with grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Mastery of communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience or familiarity with TRIO or similar student programs is preferred.
• Ability to develop and maintain records and reports in a grant-funded setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic advising, transfer, financial aid information, and educational planning.
• Oversee peer tutors and work-study employees and manage tutoring operations.
• Schedule, offer, and conduct workshops for SSS participants.
• Assist students with Education Action Plans and meet monthly to discuss progress.
• Maintain records and submit data and reports by deadlines.
• Coordinate services with Financial Aid, Admissions, and Student Records offices.
