Job summary

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Peer Tutor for the Title IV Student Support Services (SSS) Grant. This is a part-time student position working up to 20 hours per week for a federally-funded grant program.

Responsibilities include tutoring TRIO SSS students, leading group study sessions, and participating in TRIO SSS workshops and cultural events. The role includes advocacy for students when appropriate and requires enrollment in at least six credits

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly establish rapport with students, staff, faculty, and TRIO SSS program staff.
• Have a college transcript that reflects previous academic success with a grade of “B” or better in any course for which tutoring will be provided.
• Be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College.
• Preference will be given to TRIO SSS students.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring for TRIO SSS students and lead group study sessions.
• Participate in TRIO SSS workshops and cultural events.
• Work as an advocate for those they tutor when appropriate.
