Job summary

Otero College seeks a part-time TRiO Administrative Outreach Associate within the OC TRiO program. This role supports low-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities, delivering academic and advising services under supervision of TRiO leadership.

The position covers day-to-day TRiO operations, coordinating tutoring, advising, data collection, and workshop development to help participants achieve their education plans. Flexible hours may be required for program events.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an associate degree or certificate program.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to working with culturally diverse populations.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tutoring activities and scheduling to support student success.
• Assist students with coursework, study skills, and proofreading.
• Monitor labs and assist with computer programs (D2L, Navigate, Portal).
• Maintain accurate records and submit data per FERPA regulations.
• Assist TRiO students with applications and follow-up.
