Job summary

Utilities Service, LLC is seeking a Trimmer Trainee to join our field crew in a full-time, non-exempt role. You will trim trees, operate and service equipment, and assist with debris management on various sites. We emphasize safety, teamwork, and hands-on learning, with on-the-job training provided.

No prior experience required; a driver’s license is preferred. This is an on-site position with competitive hourly pay and a solid benefits package, including health insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Walk, climb and work from ladders at varying heights.
• No fear of heights and good hand-eye coordination.
• High School diploma preferred; entry-level position available.
• Driver's license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Trim and remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service required tools and equipment.
• Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces.
• Spray areas with equipment to prevent growth.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Feed brush into a woodchipper and maintain safety around sites.
• Repair minor damage to lawns, fences and walkways.
• Maintain trucks and tools, ensuring safe working conditions.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, drives and operates trucks as assigned.
