Job summary
Wolf Tree, Inc. in Maryville, TN seeks a skilled utility tree trimmer to join our Davey team. You will climb with DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS and perform safe pruning and removal for major electric utilities, including branches near lines and structures.
You’ll maintain and operate chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts while working as part of a ground crew under a foreperson. Growth depends on your performance and safety focus.
Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors and ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
- Must complete Davey Tree orientation and first aid/CPR training on hire.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL-A/B preferred with airbrake endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
- Prune and remove trees for major electric utility providers safely.
- Repair damaged trees and remove limbs near utilities, roofs, or lines.
- Operate tools and equipment: chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts; work with crew.

- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Required: valid driver’s license
- Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
- Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
- Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
