Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Lake Worth, FL is seeking a utility line clearance professional to perform tree pruning and removal for major electric utilities.

You’ll climb and trim safely using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, handle tools like chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts, and work as part of a crew under a foreperson. The role emphasizes outdoor work, safety training, and opportunities to advance within a nationwide employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire
• Ability to complete First Aid, CPR and defensive driving on hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide licenses if required by state law

Responsibilities

• Climb trees and perform pruning and removal for major electric utilities
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and objects
• Identify trees using industry pruning guidelines
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts)
• Work as part of a crew with foreperson and ground crew
• Grow as part of the team and contribute to safety and efficiency

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
