Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Trim Saw Operator for its Harrisonburg, VA production area. The role focuses on leading trimming activities while maintaining a safe environment and meeting stringent customer quality requirements.

You will set up the saw, adjust guides, and perform manual and automatic operations to ensure on-time production and accurate door sizing. The position requires strong measurement skills, experience with trim saw machinery, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Lockout/tagout certified (on-site training).
• Strong aptitude in measurement calculations and mechanical workings.
• Able to read a tape measure.
• Ability to record downtime.
• Knowledge of trim saw machine operations, maintenance, blade changes, printer maintenance, and order tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead trimming activities with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Set up and stage the trim saw by scanning tickets/barcodes into the system.
• Adjust guides and blades to maintain margins and tolerances.
• Perform regular quality checks and TPM-related tasks.
• Operate the computer controlled trim saw and maintain high productivity.
