Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Machine/Trim Saw Operator for our Stanley, VA plant. You will lead trimming activities, ensure safety, meet customer quality requirements, and manage inventory while solving equipment issues and calibrating the trim saw.

You will set up the saw by scanning tickets, adjust guides to maintain margins, run orders per production schedules, and perform regular quality checks, TPM tasks, and tool changes. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Knowledge of trim saw machine maintenance, blade changes, and mechanical understanding.
• Ability to record downtime and interpret schedules/tickets.
• Lockout/tagout certification (on-site training).
• Operate computer controlled trim saw and perform TPM checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead trimming activities in the plant with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Set up and stage the trim saw by scanning tickets and adjusting guides to maintain margins.
• Run orders per production schedules and calibrate the trim saw as needed.
• Perform regular quality checks and measurements per order lines; verify print accuracy.
• Manage tool changes, belt changes, and inventory within the production area.
