Your Role: Turning Visions into Reality
As an Independent (1099) Trim Carpenter, you will:
- Use your expertise to install custom systems, including:
- Measuring production spaces
- Demolishing current systems
- Performing sheetrock repair, painting, and installing prefabricated custom closet systems
- Ensure client satisfaction from start to finish.
- Deliver projects with the highest levels of professionalism and craftsmanship.
- Address on-site challenges by collaborating with Penmarc Management and scheduling teams to enhance processes and outcomes.
- Track your progress, maintain excellent workmanship, and uphold top-tier customer service standards.
What Makes You a Fit
We’re looking for independent contractors who:
- Have 2+ years of trim carpentry or cabinetry installation experience (preferred).
- Possess or can secure:
- General liability insurance ($1M policy minimum).
- Commercial auto insurance ($500K policy minimum).
- EPA RRP Certification (Lead Safe Work Practices Training – we can assist with certification if needed).
- Contractor licensing (State, County, or City, as applicable).
- Bring their own tools and reliable transportation for transporting materials to job sites.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions.
- Are adept at problem-solving and optimizing efficiency during installations.
- Commit to maintaining safe, clean, and respectful work environments.
Skills & Qualifications
- Construction experience: 5+ years preferred.
- Familiarity with cabinetry, millwork, trim, remodels, shelving, or custom closet organizers.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, reciprocating and miter saws safely.
- Ability to:
- Read blueprints or layouts for custom designs.
- Prioritize and organize tasks with attention to detail.
- Problem-solve on-site challenges and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Mathematical knowledge for accurate measurements and layouts.
