Job summary

RiseMe seeks a Tribal Programs Specialist to support Montana’s Tribal Nations in creating sustainable workforce pathways for Native youth 16‑24. You will collaborate with Tribal governments, schools, and partners to connect programs and resources that align with Tribal values and priorities, advancing self‑determination and economic strength.

Reporting to the Office of the Tribal Liaison, the apprentice will gain hands‑on mentorship, participate in policy implementation, and help design career

Qualifications

• Interest in working with Tribal governments and Native youth.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with diverse groups while honoring Tribal sovereignty.
• Professional communication and meeting facilitation.
• Willingness to travel within Montana to Tribal communities and partner sites.
• Demonstrated dependability, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to apply culturally responsive practices in outreach and programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and support culturally relevant career and education pathways for Native youth.
• Advance nation‑building strategies with Tribal Nations to strengthen economies.
• Honor sovereignty and protocols in all engagement and outreach.
• Identify barriers and co‑create solutions reflecting Tribal priorities.
• Develop and sustain relationships with Tribal leaders, schools, and partners.
• Coordinate between DLI programs and Tribal partners for information and support.
• Provide training and outreach on Native history, culture, and sovereignty.
