Job summary

Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians in Palm Springs, CA, is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and related systems. Responsibilities include documenting repairs and responding to work orders in a timely manner.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, with duties spanning electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other non-HVAC tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely repairs and preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and other facilities systems.
• Document all repairs and preventive maintenance reports accurately and promptly.
• Complete departmental projects including electrical and mechanical work as assigned by Tribal Facilities Director.
• Review work orders, analyze issues, determine resolutions, and implement fixes in a timely manner.
• Execute carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed and perform other non-HVAC duties.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

General maintenance of all Tribal Facilities indoor and outdoor premises.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

• Responsible for timely repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment and any other piece of equipment that would need service.
• Responsible for all timely and accurate documentation of all repairs and preventive maintenance reports
• Performs departmental technical projects which will include, but not limited to electrical and mechanical equipment repair in addition to to other duties
• Receives Tribal Facilities Work Orders and analyze the issue, determines a resolution and timely implementation.
• Performs carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Performs other Non-HVAC related duties at the direction of the Tribal Facilities Director.

Qualifications: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
