Job summary

Grand Portage Lodge & Casino in Minnesota seeks an Emergency Management professional to lead disaster planning, training, and exercises with local, state, tribal, and federal partners.

You will update and maintain the Emergency Operations Plan and related plans, coordinate incident response, and ensure culturally sensitive considerations are integrated. A background check and pre-employment drug testing are required; American Indian Preference applies.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations and work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience coordinating with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
• Experience developing and implementing emergency plans and preparedness programs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in disaster planning, training, and exercises with local, state, tribal, and federal partners.
• Coordinate emergency alert systems, radio communications, EMS, structural fire, wildfire, and law enforcement.
• Maintain and update Emergency Operations Plan and related plans (Hazard Mitigation Plan, Continuity of Operations Plan).
• Incorporate tribal priorities and cultural considerations into emergency planning and response.
• Plan and facilitate tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises to identify improvements.
