Job summary

LHH partners with a nationally recognized litigation firm to recruit an experienced Trial Litigation Paralegal for its Austin office. The role involves deep involvement in complex cases from inception through trial, supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, and traveling nationwide for trial support.

The ideal candidate is trial-ready, highly organized, and comfortable on a collaborative litigation team, with a strong track record in discovery, trial prep, and managing large volumes

Qualifications

• 4+ years of litigation defense experience.
• Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong experience supporting trial teams and attending trial proceedings.
• Experience managing discovery, depositions, subpoenas, and trial preparation.
• Ability to analyze and summarize medical records.
• Experience with document management systems and litigation technology.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and anticipate case needs.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide for trial support.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of litigation.
• Draft, edit, proofread, and manage pleadings, correspondence, motions, and legal documents.
• Assist with discovery, depositions, subpoena preparation, and case management.
• Review and analyze large volumes of documents using litigation support platforms.
• Maintain and organize electronic case files and document management systems.
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and other trial-related materials.
• Coordinate witnesses and issue trial subpoenas.
• Attend trials and provide on-site litigation support.
• Gather, review, and analyze complex medical records.
• Create medical chronologies and case summaries.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, experts, and litigation teams.
