Job summary

Poulin | Willey is seeking an experienced Trial Lawyer to join our growing personal injury team. You will represent clients throughout South Carolina and manage matters from filing through discovery, hearings, mediations, and trial, with a strong emphasis on client service.

The ideal attorney has an active South Carolina Bar license in good standing, solid courtroom skills, and proven litigation experience.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the South Carolina bar, in good standing.
• Ideally 1+ years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas, but willing to train those with less experience.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in personal injury matters from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.
• Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure thorough case preparation.

Note: This role can sit ANYWHERE in South Carolina! Must have an active SC Law License. The compensation for this role includes a base of $75,000 plus a bonus percentage.
