Job summary

Poulin | Willey is seeking an experienced Trial Lawyer to join our growing personal injury team. This role represents clients throughout South Carolina and requires an active South Carolina Bar license in good standing.

You will take ownership of your caseload and lead matters from filing through discovery, hearings, mediations, and trial. The compensation for this role includes a base of $75,000 plus a bonus percentage.

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Bar license in good standing is required.
• Ideally 1+ years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas, but training possible for less experience.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in personal injury matters from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.
• Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure thorough case preparation.
