Job summary

Poulin | Willey is seeking an experienced Trial Lawyer to join our personal injury team across South Carolina, requiring an active South Carolina Bar license in good standing. You will manage your own caseload and advocate for clients from filing through discovery, hearings, mediations, and trial.

You will represent clients in personal injury matters, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and participate in mediations, hearings, and trial.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the South Carolina bar in good standing.
• Ideally 1+ years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in personal injury matters from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.
• Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure thorough case preparation.

We are dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients and are looking for an attorney with strong courtroom skills, proven litigation experience, and a commitment to client service. You will take ownership of your caseload and lead matters from filing through discovery, hearings, mediations, and trial.

What You Will Do

• Ideally 1+ years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas, but willing to train those with less experience.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Note: This role can sit ANYWHERE in South Carolina! Must have an active SC Law License. The compensation for this role includes a base of $75,000 plus a bonus percentage.
