Job summary

Poulin | Willey, a Birmingham personal injury firm, seeks an experienced Trial Lawyer to join our growing team. You will represent clients across Alabama and manage matters from filing through discovery, hearings, mediations, and trial.

The ideal candidate has an active Alabama Bar license in good standing, strong courtroom skills, and proven litigation experience. You will own your caseload, negotiate effectively, and deliver clear, persuasive written and oral advocacy.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the Alabama bar, in good standing.
• Ideally 2+ years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas, but willing to train those with less experience.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in personal injury matters from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.
• Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure thorough case preparation.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually

Note: This role can sit ANYWHERE in Alabama! Must have an active AL Law License. The compensation for this role includes a base of $75,000 plus a bonus percentage.
