Trial Attorney- NYC/Long Island (Remote Home-Based Worker)

Job Description

The Senior Consultant II represents insureds and the Company in defending bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. This role involves preparing for and conducting hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare for and conduct settlements/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.)
  2. Prepare for and conduct court appearances (e.g., matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences)
  3. Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate
  4. Prepare for, try, and arbitrate cases; draft motions in limine and summary documents
  5. Review new files, documentary evidence, approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop strategies
  6. Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including expert witnesses
  7. Communicate with clients regarding case status and answer questions
  8. Conduct depositions and examinations under oath; prepare summary documents
  9. Keep claim business partners updated on case progress and strategy

Education

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Juris Doctor (Required)

Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not include supervisory duties.

Compensation

Salary range for this role is $66,800.00 - $120,650.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications. A background check is required for candidates offered this position.
