Job summary

The Law Offices of Kanner & Pintaluga PA in Newark, NJ, seeks a Trial Attorney to handle personal injury cases. You will meet with clients, review claims, and coordinate with insurers to move cases toward resolution or trial.

Ideal candidates have a JD, NJ bar, 3–5 years PI litigation, at least 5 jury trials as first chair, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced law firm.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• 3 to 5 years of Personal Injury litigation experience
• 5 or more jury trials as first chair required
• Certified Civil Trial Attorney preferred
• Member of the New Jersey Bar and in good standing
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently in an office environment
• Team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss their case and obtain necessary information.
• Update clients and communicate with insurance companies regarding status of claims, demands, and offers.
• Prepare cases for trial and try the case if needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

In this role, you will see that our clients receive the best care and obtain excellent results. Attorneys are expected to meet with clients to discuss their case, show compassion and empathy, and demonstrate an ability to earn their trust, confidence, and respect. They will also update clients and communicate with insurance companies from time to time regarding the status of claims, demands, and offers. In addition, the Attorney should be able to prepare the case for trial and try the case if needed.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• Full-time
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• 3 to 5 years of Personal Injury litigation experience
• 5 or more jury trials as first chair required
