Job summary

The Law Offices Of Kanner And Pintaluga in Newark, NJ is seeking a Trial Attorney to manage personal injury cases from client intake through trial. The attorney will meet with clients, evaluate claims, handle communication with insurance companies, and prepare cases for trial as needed.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of PI litigation experience, a NJ bar license, and strong verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member of the New Jersey Bar and in good standing.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solving approach.
• Ability to work independently in an office environment.
• Team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss their case and determine strategy.
• Update clients and communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, demands, and offers.
• Prepare cases for trial and try the case when needed.

Education

POSITION SUMMARY:

In this role, you will see that our clients receive the best care and obtain excellent results. Attorneys are expected to meet with clients to discuss their case, show compassion and empathy, and demonstrate an ability to earn their trust, confidence, and respect. They will also update clients and communicate with insurance companies from time to time regarding the status of claims, demands, and offers. In addition, the Attorney should be able to prepare the case for trial and try the case if needed.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• Full-time
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• 3 to 5 years of Personal Injury litigation experience
• 5 or more jury trials as first chair required
• Certified Civil Trial Attorney preferred
• Member of the New Jersey Bar and in good standing
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Experience in knowing how to evaluate claims, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently in an office environment
• Team-oriented
