Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Triage Nurse at Methodist Physicians Clinic - West Dodge Medical Plaza in Omaha. This casual position involves performing telephone triage, patient education, and coordination of follow-up care among patients and providers.

Responsibilities include handling calls promptly, documenting assessments, and communicating clearly with the care team using SBAR. Candidates must have an RN license and at least 1 year of clinical experience; BLS is preferred

Qualifications

• RN with a nursing degree and licensure is required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience is required.
• BLS certification is preferred and ACLS is a plus; must obtain BLS within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs telephone triage to assess patient needs and relay information to providers.
• Receives and returns patient calls within 90 minutes in priority order.
• Maintains accurate patient records and SBAR notes for ongoing care.
• Educates patients and families and coordinates referrals and follow-up care.
