Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Triage Nurse role at the Methodist Physicians Clinic - Westroads Office Park III in Omaha. The RN will provide triage telephone service to support the patient’s plan of care and identify high-risk conditions for timely communication with providers and families. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm.

Sign-on bonus of $2,500. No weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible for licensure in Nebraska.
• BLS certification preferred; ACLS not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage to determine patient needs and relay information to providers.
• Document and prioritize patient conditions and safety according to protocols.
• Educate patients and families per provider guidance.
• Coordinate care and follow-up appointments with Health Coaches and specialists.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with exams and procedures.
• Ensure accurate order entry and maintain chart documentation.
