Job summary

Women’s Care, a leading women’s healthcare group, seeks an OBGYN Triage Nurse (LPN) to provide professional clinical care and extensive OB/GYN triage by phone, following established standards. You will perform NSTs, record medical histories, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.

You’ll assist physicians, document test results, educate patients, authorize refills, and help maintain HIPAA-compliant, secure clinical environments.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong bedside manner and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage OB/GYN patients by telephone and document medical history and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians.
• Perform fetal NST and collect specimens when directed.
• Administer medications and authorize refills per provider.
• Educate patients and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain safe, clean clinical environment.

With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.The OBGYN Triage Nurse (LPN) provides professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices. They also provide extensive OBGYN triage via telephone.Performs extensive triage of OB/GYN patients via phone and calls patients with test results.Performs fetal non-stress test (NST).Prepares patients for examination and assists physician during treatment/procedures, examinations and testing of patients.Records patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.Measures, records and documents vital signs.Where applicable, performs phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection per established policies and procedures as directed by the provider.Prepares and administers medications as directed by a provider.Authorizes drug refills as directed.Educates patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider; answering questions.Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.Sterilizes medical instruments per established standards and procedures.Represents the office in a professional manner.
