Job summary

Women’s Care in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in a busy OB/GYN clinic. You will prepare patients, support physicians, administer medications, and document in the EMR system during and after visits.

Required qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, at least one year of clinic nursing experience (OB/GYN strongly preferred), a Florida RN license, and BLS/CPR certification. Familiarity with EMR systems such as eCW is expected.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic and document accurately in EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care following established standards and practices.
  • Prepare patients during office visits and assist before, during, and after doctor visits.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Record medical history, vital signs, and test results in EMR.
  • Greet patients, screen for information, and instruct on tests and samples.
  • Assist with referrals, medication refills, and patient recall lists.

With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices. They prepare patients during office visits and assist patients and family members before, during and after a doctor’s visit.Performs general nursing care to patients (including phone and in-person triage), administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during treatment, examinations, and testing of patients.Records patients' medical history, vital statistics and additional information such as test results in electronic medical records (EMR).Collects blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, logs the specimens, and prepares them for testing.Administers injections and prescribed medications as directed by the physician.Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to the physician.Greets patients and prepares them for examination, screens patients for appropriate information and instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patients and family members regarding medications, test results and treatment instructions.Assists with referrals and medication refills.Maintains patient recall lists.Formulates and updates patient care plans, and orders, prepares, and inspects patient charts, records test and examination results in the patient chart.Prepares examination rooms, including restocking of supplies in treatment areas.Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.Represents division in a professional manner.
