Compass Connections is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide telehealth triage and in-person assessments in Texas. You must hold a BSN and a Texas RN license with at least 5 years of RN experience; pediatric nursing is preferred.

Required – Registered nurse license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Good standing as a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Texas Board of Nursing; current BLS certifications (PALS preferred), First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention
Required – At least 5 years of experience as a RN; Preferred – pediatric nursing experience
1.Meet and maintain all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position.
2. Provide telehealth triage services to assess patient needs and evaluate symptoms. This includes answering patient inquiries, providing patient teaching, and determining the urgency and appropriate course of action.
3. Conduct in-person and virtual assessments based on established protocols and accurately document medical findings.
4. Gather, collect, and clarify patients’ current condition and past medical history.
5. Effectively communicate with Medical Director as needed for reporting findings which are concerning for patient’s health and well-being.
6. Communicate with RN Managers and other medical staff to devise individual plans of care and acts as a nurse support to other medical staff.
7. Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
8. Maintain confidentiality of health care records and information in keeping with HIPAA and Compass Connections confidentiality and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) protocol and procedures.
9. Address other job duties as assigned or for unforeseen matters that require attention to maintain a fluid and fully functional program.
