Job summary

The Trevor Project is the leading LGBTQ+ youth crisis response organization, offering 24/7 crisis services and a broad set of programs. The TrevorSpace Community Moderator role is remote across the continental United States and requires non-standard hours with at least one weekend day.

You will support TrevorSpace users, coordinate with crisis services, and help maintain a safe, inclusive online space. Responsibilities include community management, content review, reporting, and collaboration

Qualifications

Experience managing online communities with emphasis on safety.
Proven ability to moderate content according to policies.
Familiarity with reporting to law enforcement or child protection as required.

Responsibilities

Perform community management tasks and interact with users to help them use TrevorSpace.
Assist with moderation to keep the community safe and affirming.
Review user content for potential violations of community guidelines.
Apply TrevorSpace guidelines to ensure community standards.
Monitor content for emerging risks and provide resources to at-risk users.
Document user feedback and trends to improve the community.
Ensure timely reports to law enforcement and other agencies as needed.
