Job summary

MAD Engine Global LLC in Burbank, CA is seeking a creative Women’s/Missy Branded Designer to join our design team. You will develop branded apparel collections for licensed and private label lines that balance fashion trends with commercial viability.

You’ll work with Merchandising, Product Development, Sales, and overseas factories to move concepts from concept through production, designing CADs, prints, and finishes for mass-market retailers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field.
• 3–7 years of apparel design experience, preferably in Women's/Missy branded or licensed apparel.
• Experience designing for US wholesale retailers and mass-market channels preferred.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit, silhouettes, and manufacturing processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using PLM systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Research trends, color direction, fabrics, silhouettes, and consumer insights.
• Design seasonal Women's/Missy branded apparel aligned with brand identity.
• Create concepts, prints, graphics, embellishments, washes, and garment details.
• Produce CADs, technical sketches, and artwork in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Build complete assortments balancing fashion, profitability, and retailers' needs.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Sales, Product Development, and overseas factories.
• Prepare seasonal line presentations for internal meetings and customer meetings.
• Modify designs based on retailer feedback while preserving brand identity.
• Manage multiple design projects to meet deadlines.
