Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of arboriculture or landscaping experience.
• Virginia drivers license required.
• License/certifications within 6 months of employment (Pesticide tech preferred, CDL-B, CPR/First Aid).
• Two years of professional tree care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled arboriculture on street, park, and City trees with rope and saddle, bucket truck, and chipper.
• Prune, climb, and remove trees; maintain safe work areas and site cleanup.
• Operate and maintain equipment; inspect fluid levels, tires, blades, and safety devices.
• Respond to emergencies; be on-call during severe weather and after hours.
