Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Michigan is seeking a Trimmer/Climber for a full-time, non-exempt role. You will trim and remove trees, operate and service tools, and support field crews with safe, efficient work practices.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; no experience is required for entry-level, but any prior line-clearing or tree-trimming experience is a plus. A valid driver’s license is required along with the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry-level position, no experience required.
• Previous experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cleans and loads debris into a woodchipper.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clear and orderly.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Maintains good housekeeping on trucks and at work locations.
