Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Minnesota is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim, tops, and reshape trees to clear utility powerlines. This full-time, non-exempt role involves operating and servicing tools, loading trucks, and following safety procedures.

Candidates should be 18+ and able to work at heights, with union membership encouraged. Benefits include weekly pay, health/dental, retirement plans, and company-provided tools.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while performing mentally/physically demanding work.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to join local union and pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush and debris into wood chipper.
• Relays hand-signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Assists training new employees.
• Maintains good housekeeping on truck and at work locations.
• Performs other related work, as assigned by superiors.
