Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim, tops, and reshape trees to clear utility powerlines. The role involves operating equipment, loading materials, and maintaining safety on job sites.

The position is full-time and non-exempt, with benefits and a requirement to work in all weather conditions. Applicants must have a driver’s license and be comfortable working at height.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment.
• Willing to join local union and pay dues.

Responsibilities

• Trim and remove trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service tools and equipment.
• Cut and split debris into pieces.
• Spray areas to prevent regrowth.
• Load and unload trucks and feed debris into chippers.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and sites.
• Assist training of new employees.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards.
