Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim, tops, and reshape trees to maintain clearance for utility powerlines. The role requires operating and maintaining equipment, loading debris, and coordinating with customers and emergency services when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights; able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Willing to join local union and pay dues.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; entry-level position; no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Loads/unloads trucks; feeds brush into woodchipper.
• Safeguards employees and public; sets up barriers and warning signs.
• Relays hand-signals and directs traffic when needed.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and orderly.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Assists training new employees.
