Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Trimmer/Climber to perform tree trimming, bucket work, and related field tasks with a focus on safety and teamwork. This full-time, non-exempt position requires operating equipment, managing debris, and supporting public‐safety coordination.

The role includes training new hires, maintaining tools and vehicles, and collaborating with customers and local agencies in a dynamic outdoor environment. We offer competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders or at various heights.
• Capable of performing physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service tools and equipment.
• Cleans up debris and loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush into a woodchipper and manages waste.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences, walkways.
• Services gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, and drives trucks.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and orderly.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards.
• Cooperates with customers, police, fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers and warning signs.
• Performs tree and bucket rescue training.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Inspects tools and equipment and requests repairs.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
