Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber for a full-time, non-exempt role. The position offers hourly pay and requires working outdoors with trees, tools, and equipment in varying weather conditions.

The candidate will trim and remove trees, operate equipment, and assist in maintaining safe work sites. A valid driver's license and willingness to join the local union are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, on uneven and slippery surfaces, under various weather conditions.
• Willing to join local union and pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush and debris into wood chipper.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences, and walk-ways.
• Relays hand-signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment.
• Keeps trucks and work area clear and orderly.
• Safeguards employees and public from hazards in the work area.
