Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim, tops, and reshape trees to maintain clearance for utility powerlines. The role is full-time and non-exempt, with responsibilities including equipment operation, debris handling, and safety precautions.

The candidate must be at least 18 years old with no fear of heights and the ability to climb ladders and work in challenging conditions. A valid driver's license is required, and pre-employment screening may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination and balance.
• Able to walk, climb stairs/ladders, and perform physically demanding work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Trims and removes trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operates and maintains tools and equipment.
• Cuts and splits debris for disposal and feeds material into woodchipper.
• Speeds up and assists with safe loading and unloading of trucks.
• Maintains clean work areas and follows safety protocols.
• Relays signals, directs traffic, and uses signs and barriers as needed.
• Performs routine vehicle and equipment inspections.
