Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer Trainee to learn field forestry tasks, operate and maintain tools, and assist in trimming trees and debris removal in the Richmond area. This full-time, non-exempt position offers hands-on training and opportunities for advancement.

The role requires ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass pre-employment checks. Company benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement plan, EAP, life and disability insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders or at heights.
• Exposure to varying weather while handling equipment.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trim and remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service required tools/equipment.
• Load/unload trucks and feed debris into woodchipper.
• Assume responsibility for inspection and proper working conditions of tools and equipment.
• Assist in training new employees.
