Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Wisconsin is hiring a Trimmer Trainee to join our field team. This entry-level role involves trimming and removing trees, operating and maintaining equipment, and assisting with site safety and traffic control. Training on the job is provided.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with hourly pay and a benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and EAP. Candidates must be at least 18 and able to perform physically demanding work outdoors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment, as assigned.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clear and orderly.
