Job summary

SavATree is hiring a Tree Climber to join our General Tree Care Team in Fort Collins. You will perform pruning, removals, and cabling with a focus on safety and quality while climbing, operating chainsaws and bucket trucks, and applying industry standards. Leadership opportunities exist for those who show strong initiative.

The role requires a valid U.S. driver’s license, CDL A or B, and authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Proficient in pruning techniques for large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Strong knowledge of tree and shrub species and their characteristics.
• Comfortable climbing without spurs.
• Skilled in adhering to tree care safety standards.
• Experienced with chainsaws and aerial lifts (bucket trucks).
• Familiar with ANSI pruning standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care services including pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using ropes, saddles, and ladders.
• Operate chainsaws, aerial lifts, and other equipment effectively.
• Apply ANSI A300 pruning standards and safety practices.
• Ensure proper pruning cuts to preserve health and structure.
• Assist in tree removals with safe takedowns.
• Maintain safety checks before, during, and after jobs.
• Communicate effectively with team and clients to ensure safety and service quality.
