Penn Line Service, Inc. is seeking a Tree Climber/Trimmer to join their team. This entry-level position involves tree trimming and clearing along electric power lines, requiring climbing skills and knowledge of safety techniques. The role offers competitive pay and benefits, with a work schedule of four 10-hour days.

The primary responsibility of a Tree Trimmer is to perform tree trimming, clearing, and removal along electric power lines and rights of way. The role involves climbing trees to reach branches interfering with electric lines, using climbing equipment. Knowledge of chainsaw safety, roping, and rigging techniques is essential. The position also requires operating chain saws, pruners, brush chippers, and possibly aerial lift devices (bucket trucks).
A qualified Tree Climber/Trimmer should have at least 6 months of verifiable experience in utility line clearance or residential tree clearance. A valid Driver's License or CDL is preferred. A pesticide license is beneficial but not mandatory, as we specialize in Vegetation Management.
4 days of 10 hours each, either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, with mandatory overtime and emergency storm duty as needed.
Pay varies based on skills and experience. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Retirement Plan, Paid Time Off, and weekly pay.
Travel required across various states including PA, MD, OH, VA, and WV. Flexibility to travel on short notice is necessary due to contract demands.
