Job summary

The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission is seeking Tree Worker/Climber in Prince George’s County, MD. The role covers pruning and removing deadwood, plus supporting in tree removals and rigging operations with potential bucket truck use.

Expect to report to the Senior Urban Forester; typical shifts from early morning, with CDL endorsements sometimes required depending on assignment. Excellent benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of tree maintenance experience including six months of tree climbing.
• Valid driver's license; CDL with endorsements may be required depending on area.
• Pass Commission medical examination.

Responsibilities

• Prune and remove deadwood and participate in tree removals.
• Report to the Senior Urban Forester and work on projects ranging from hours to a week.
• Perform notching, wood lowering, rigging and bucket truck operations.
• Be willing to work in heights up to 100+ ft and be a team player.
